The main event segment of Raw last week turned heads with its creative mic work and the huge implications it would have for the next episode of Raw and WrestleMania 33 Itself. With that being said and the fall out that will come from the brawl that broke out last week on Raw, some have to wonder if Mick Foley will face any punishment for trying to fire Stephanie McMahon, disrespecting Triple H and then nail with The Mandiable claw. Furthermore, will his punishment mean the end of his career as Raw GM.
Interestingly enough, WWE.com’s, Raw Preview seems to insinuate that this will be the case and Mick Foley will actually get his walking papers for last week’s show of insubordination. What it doesn’t say however, is who will be taking over for Foley if he does actually get fired Monday night on Raw. In fact, the preview doesn’t even make the hint of a new general manager at all, which could be seen as WWE’s way of saying that either Triple H or Stephanie McMahon will be taking over as Raw GM after the announcement is handed down.
Below is what WWE.com’s Raw Preview had to say about Mick Foley’s status as Raw GM.
After attempting to “fire” Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and being humiliated in the middle of the ring by Triple H, General Manager Mick Foley had finally had enough, sliding his right hand into his trusted Mr. Socko and applying the dreaded Mandible Claw to The Cerebral Assassin. This Attitude Era-esque moment brought the WWE Universe in Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena to its feet before Stephanie saved her husband with a low blow to Foley, but longtime fans of The Hardcore Legend will be far less enthused about what happens next. Triple H and Stephanie don’t exactly forgive and forget, so one wonders if Foley’s days as Raw GM are now numbered.
Just for fun. Who do you think should be the new GM for Monday Night RAW should be. Let us know in the comments below and be sure to tell us what other predictions you have for Raw this week?
